Biomimicry Trail Running Shoe
IDEA
I wanted to create a trail running shoe that expresses freedom and a life at the border of city and nature.
Inspiration
I drew inspiration from the city of Los Angeles, the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, and the big horn ram which is native to that region.
Anthony, 28, is an architect living just outside Los Angeles. A California native, he balances a thriving career with a passion for trail running, photography, and live music. Creative and introspective, Anthony thrives on the contrast between the quiet solitude of nature and the vibrant energy of city life. His hobbies reflect this balance, as he captures both the rawness of urban moments and the serene beauty of the outdoors, all while maintaining a disciplined, health-conscious routine.

ITERATION
I started by designing the logo for my shoe brand, aiming to capture the essence of mountaineering and trail equipment. From there, I moved on to ideating the design of the trail running shoe, focusing on performance, sustainability, and the connection to the city and outdoors.
